Coop Credit Card

Just been accepted for a coop card as they have a good deal 24mths trf for a 1% fee gave i asked for £9.5k limit they gave me £4.5 , but said if i can send over a statement from a card that provides me with high limit they will look into it and might match.

Never heard of this before not really bothered just got a few 0% due to finish and would rather keep money in savings and bank account for now.

Just wondered if anybody else had this

Co-op matched a card limit of mine years ago...around 10 years ago in my stoozing heyday. However, they promptly cut the limit from c. £13K to £500 the day after I cleared the balance!


Seems strange they want proof when all the proof they need could be seen from the credit search they conducted when approving your application.

I have a vague recollection of something like this from the dim and distant past but as YorkshireBoy has quite rightly pointed out these days they should be able to establish this information from your credit files.
