Students can also get a free six-month trial of one-day delivery, or choose to pay £39 for a year of the full Prime service – see more on Student Prime. There are no plans to introduce a monthly plan for students.

I'm on Student Prime. It isn't actually "full Prime". The benefits of Prime cannot be shared with the Amazon Household on Student Prime. Only the main account is getting free delivery and we do not get 20% off some of the items that the £79/year Prime members get. Only the main account is getting Prime Video. The other Household accounts can only read and share the Kindle purchases that we've made but they cannot access the Kindle Owners Lending Library.
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p
  • this isn't new, its been on our account since Christmas when we cancelled :(

I guess that depends on how much you trust your other household members to allow access your AP account so they can benefit from the movies/music/kindle/free delivery etc ;)

(Is it just me who thinks that this story should go into the Shop But Don't Drop area on the forum, as isn't really Consumer Rights related?)

As for the monthly prime, it's a good idea, would probably see an uptake in those who don't want to hand over £79 for a year up front, might be more expensive doing it monthly but Amazon would get the punters)

I just wish that Amazon would have a permanent opt out of Amazon Prime option on their web site. I get sick of them desperately trying to push it on me every time I order anything from them.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

Is it really such an imposition to click through to the actual order page?

To be honest, doesn't "one click" ordering do exactly what you want?
