Last September I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma, and since then I've been through chemo etc etc (far too boring to give you the details!) Anyway as I live on my own, with the help of my friend, I had to put my dogs in foster care. The fosterers have been wonderful and kept me in the loop with pictures and videos every week but my goodness I've missed the boys!
So... I've now been signed off from my consultant, all treatment finished, and the boys are coming home on Saturday! Just can't wait!

What amazing news!! It must have been so hard to lose your furry friends, right when you really needed them. This must feel like such a fabulous recovery milestone.
In my area, there's a wonderful charity that call for volunteers to walk the dogs of people who are seriously ill, and keep them company when the owner has hospital days etc, so they can (as far as possible) keep their dogs at home.0 -
I'm so pleased for you. After all that nightmare treatment your little boys will give you a lot of comfort. Xx0

Thanks everybody! Yes, so very excited! Boys have new beds and new toys to come home to. I'm getting a dog walker for the first few weeks to help, but just to have them around will be wonderful! Oh and Erik's Mum - not such little boys, giant GSD and very stocky Spinone - around 100kgs between them! :rotfl:
Will let you know how it goes... It's going to be emotional!0 -
