Well my guess it will ""offend"" some people .... It's a disgrace that in

In 2016 we are being knuckled down to not upset any other religion

I mean the Queens birthday where is the harm in that

Whilst the people of other religions will not knuckle down to what is our right to celebrate birthdays etc

If our traditions upset them that much why don't they build and fund their own schools
Or just ignore it if they don't like it .....as there is plenty of things I don't agree with in different religions and countries but I do not protest about them ..I accept that people are entitled to their own opinions

Do you think these countries would not celebrate their traditions if we lived in their countries and it offended us

Now I am not wishing to upset any religion from Catholics to buddists

and all the rest of the religions

But we need to get a back bone and put a stop to all of this and Happy Holidays for Xmas

We don't protest when other religions want to celebrate their traditions
And we should uphold all of our traditions and ceremonies after all

we do have a Lady as our head of state and long may she rule

    Happy Birthday Philip

    Happy Birthday to our Queen

How many people on here will wish our Lizzie and Phil a Happy Birthday

Let's see how many like this post or how long before the post is removed because my opinion offends

Pressing the button then running for cover

I love you perky X. So very well put. It seems we have to have permission from overseas to do most things these days.

It upset me when schools don't let the children celebrate whether it be Queens 90th or The Nativity. If we were to go to another Country they wouldn't give a jot about us British, they go ahead with their Countries celebrations so why can't we. I should have said why don't we, it's because far too many others complain that it isn't what they believe. And we mustn't upset them must we.

Keep going perky, you've got it right X

and Jehovah's Witnesses don't have birthdays either - 'everyday is a birthday'

no windows in their churches also

weird considering they have the window cleaning monopoly in this town :think::think:

It's the same in this town too Snap. How strange :)

I saw him about 10 years ago in the flesh I still stand by my comment about him being very dashing and I think he's improved with age...a truly striking man.

I also see that my other dashing and handsome chap who carried my bags so well has now been signed up by A and looks pretty good behind a BBQ!

    Doesn't he just :heartpuls :D
