The thing is the newer ones are much better and more efficient .

So my next one will last 30 years

Oh by the way TS, if that is a Worcester boiler then I hope you do not have a salt water softener!

That kitchen looks fantabulous TS, I am sure you will get many happy years out of it :D

As for white goods going on too long, I want to change the microwave. It must be about 15 or more years old, and it is massive as I used to cook full meals in it, it is way too big now and I have other ideas about where it will go when I get a smaller one, but it keeps going, and going, and going ...........

Of course if I could get an extremely cheap one it would be different :D

    Thanks E. :D

I had hoped the old fridge would last until we got the kitchen done but it gave up the ghost just after my mum passed away was one of the first things I bought new but the layout of the kitchen back then couldn't have coped with a fridge freezer. The freezer that we put out in the garage was already here when we moved in, back in 1995. :rotfl:

We did find out when we moved it that there is ice growing out the back of it, but it is packed full, we best get using some stuff up now we have a cooker.

What I mean is while you wait you could be using a newer more efficient one that takes less electricity .

I know :D I just can't bring myself to replace one that is still going. Logically, if it keeps going long enough, the next one I get will use next to no leccy :D
