I think, whenever anybody posts a good RTC deal on hotdeals for example, they are all only in some stores at some times. May appear eventually for you though.

I think people generally, that is people posting on hotdeals who aren't aware maybe of what I've been saying on here more recently, seem to take it that, because an item is in their store, everyone will have it. That's clearly not the case - on anything (it seems). My Tommee Tippee Cup at 50p appeared in just one store for me and then disappeared (no surprise) yet I still kept it on the list - I do not remove things nowadays even if I no longer have them in my stores (since I've discovered that's just my Ms - and that's the case even if an item disappears from all of them) because I believe these are not store-specific prices (indeed confirmed often, by later coming across items at the same prices elsewhere) and although they won't be in every store, they will be available somewhere else (or at least in the case of the Tommee Cup, would have been - that one may now have expired).

However, I'm starting to think that the prices I have on my list for the JML items are store-specific. I'm seeing them at full price in other Ms and one of them, checked, scanned at full price. Some difference between £3.99 and £12:eek::rotfl:. The 2 pack Weaning Bowls at 62p also appears to be a store-specific reduction. I think I can normally tell the difference between a store-specific price and one that is available across other stores. (I have been doing it enough:rotfl:.) My list aims to state the prices that are not store-specific, otherwise I would be including fresh whoopsies that clearly are haphazard and relate to specific stores at particular times. Occasionally I may mention a cheaper store-specific price that I have come across.

On these two ones though - some of the JML items and the Weaning Bowls - I think the prices are store-specific. I will be inclined to remove them altogether from the list if they are purely store-specific. (That sort of information is best posted elsewhere, in a separate post with the store information.) Yet I have seen reductions on (different) JML items in more than one store:think:.

The Kia-Oras are not store-specific (even though I think they are clearly in very few stores). I think the Maynard's Sports Mixture may clearly be available elsewhere too but, just because the OP has the item in their store, most people seem to jump to assuming that other people, in other stores, will find it easily. I think you might have Maynard's Sports Mixture in 1 out of 15 stores or possibly or probably fewer than that. So, you don't stand much chance! (Unless, for example, you react to a hotdeals post, visit a store where it is reported to be very quickly and before they have all gone from there.) However, it will appear and reappear in different stores at different times - and, if it's not in yours, it may appear on any day or may appear and disappear on a day you don't visit. As I've already mentioned once before, I now think precisely what items are stocked changes in every M every day.

You could visit 15 stores and still not find something - just because you happen to have picked stores none of which now have it. So, as is obvious, it's no good attempting to do that - either you have it or you don't. (Obviously the more stores you visited, the more chance you would stand. But you could very likely still come back empty-handed from all of them, looking for something in particular, and have simply wasted a whole load of time (and money) trying to find it without any fruit.)
