In M they have been busy changing some prices upwards or, more accurately, bringing in some stock on new barcodes at higher prices.

M Chrysanthemum is in the process of, in effect, going from £2 to £3. I did see some stock on the old barcodes at £2, but they had a 'display until' date of 9th June (which is now today) whilst the new stock has a 'display until' 12th June. However, I also saw some stock at 99p reduction (store-specific).

The Gypsophilia was, in effect, now £1.67 for me as I didn't see any old stock of £1.50, although it's possible there is some around in some store. It's always a bit difficult with items like this as, inevitably, I arrive late in the day at some stores and by which time fresh flowers and the like tend to be diminished.

I believe the individual peppers continue to be 48p, which wasn't any good to mention on Monday as it's only a few pence difference from A so almost no APG worth speaking of and the may occasionally miss one colour or another on the APG. The 3 pack peppers are Avs T at 85p (I note Aldi allegedly at 69p according to msm) and are currently Avs M at 86p. What price for M they get after the update from Wednesday will I think be hit and miss. Some stores have old stock or old price of 86p displaying whilst others have £1 price displayed; others have £1 price displayed but 86p on the packs (in other words take 86p). The true position in M on Wednesday is that M has stock at both 86p and £1 - the packs on the older barcode are 86p whilst those on the new barcode are £1. So two different types of M 3 pack peppers:rotfl:. During this period in which the changeover is gradually happening with older stock at the lower price being exhausted over time.

The Satsumas (they are 700g in M) are now £1.24:eek:. I wouldn't rush out and buy them (the A 650g version) as, tbh, I was never sure they would work. Anyway, the ones I scanned are now £1.24 and a consensus seems to be developing in the stores I checked which was to show £1.24. It's possible there may be some older packs, on a different BC, still around in M at £1 - but I don't think this is going to work on the APG. (Maybe famous last words though:rotfl:.)

I believe the Kids Apples and Pears packs are straight £1 and straight £1.14 respectively. A large proportion of the packs I've now seen do not have any mbuy price stuck onto the actual packs (and, indeed, I think none of the packs are on mbuy) - however I have seen a small amount of stock of packs of apples and a small amount of pears that do still have the "2 for £1.50" label on them. You may be lucky now if you have those packs in your M - and, for me, they were not in the same store. I think they will scan at straight prices and you'd need to go via CS, or at least a member of staff, in order to get the mbuy price printed on the packs if you have those packs still available.

I do not know whether the Turkey Leg at £3 is still available. They have now brought another barcode, stock priced at £3.50:(, into at least some Ms (I saw that on Monday) and the £4.72 barcode has even made a reappearance now for me in another store:mad::(. They might still have the £3 barcode stock in some M if you are lucky but, for me, it was late in the day and I ended up with "Whole Turkey leg - priced" and no stock for me in one of the stores later on - I've no way to know what had been there before I got there.

So, it was, in the end, five completely different Ms for me on Wednesday and - what an eye-opener! Whole ranges of products in M that I knew nothing about:rotfl:. I only managed five because there was a store that closed at 11pm and I was there until closing time - fortunately I went off to - and managed a couple of - stores that closed at 10pm first and then came back to the "11pm closing" store as that was then the only one possible. It seemed to be a smaller store, but not an M Local - but, as usual, it had a vast range of items that I hadn't got or otherwise have not seen for such a long time. So, prepare for the reappearance of some items that mysteriously vanished from the M list several months ago, as I was unsure when an offer on them ended as I was unable to get back out to the only other store, for me, that had those items.

I ended up, unfortunately, with a handful of items outstanding that I could have done with seeing as I could not find them in any of the five stores - however I have got a quite a lot more that I do not think I would have got from the stores I used on Monday! A couple of the items are the Twarogs, but I'll say msm comes to the rescue on those as it shows until 26th June. Otherwise, I'd be getting you full price SELs but no stock at all for you from Wrexham!

I didn't go to my "Twarogs and Holland's Pies" store at all on Wednesday but I did manage to have the Holland's Pies in two stores that I visited, but sadly no Twarogs anywhere. I've got an errant SEL from somewhere else for the John Smith's Golden Ale bottle, which I shall use to bring that back to life with M at £1 price - however I have not seen any stock anywhere recently. That said, I have OOS on some items and only have to go to the next store and they are there.

I think it must have been easy enough for some poor price collector, late in the day and bleary-eyed, to see "Hobgoblin Gold 4.5% 500ml" and mis-read it as "Hobgoblin Gold 4 x 500ml". A similar situation might have existed with the Spitfire Ale (also says 4.5% 500ml) but the price collection has moved on since the multipack cans glitches. I think they are trying for us - they are trying, with the incomplete information they have in each store, to put every possible item that is on mbuy into the mbuy for us, and sometimes put incorrect items into them. That said, yet again, I see no chance of 10 for £3 on Muller singles (that offer is now back on again in M) being picked up. 30p seems a very expensive price on those anyway nowadays:rotfl:.

Sadly I am now aware of only the Princes Mackerel Fillets in Curry Sauce being 6p. The other versions may still be 25p (they could be 6p but if so I do not know) and Sunflower Oil is definitely still 25p in one store as of yesterday. So the 6p price may just relate to the one version that happened to be around in one store or may be a store-specific price.

I'm trying for you too - with my incomplete price collection details from yesterday: and I suspect it'll take ages to sort them all out, so bear with me. I also have other things to sort so won't be able to start on the list until much later.

    Dove Men + Care Body & Face Wash - Extra Fresh (250ml)£2.00/Any 2 for £3.00 86p I think not.

What you reckon? Do you think it now stands a chance?:D:rotfl:

Do you think I have the right price on my list even?

That's right... this Dove Men + Care Extra Fresh 250ml is now 22p in M!:j:j:rotfl::rotfl:

I don't think this stands a cat in hell's chance of picking up even 86p for M let alone 22p to be honest!

The "I think not" came onto my list only a few weeks after I first put the product on the list. Until yesterday, I had only ever had the product in a single M and must have visited a dozen different stores in between then and now with no trace whatsoever in any of them! I first found it in the one M on the reduction shelf months ago. It then stayed for about a couple of weeks and then vanished completely on me - and I've had no trace whatsoever of it for probably at least three months.

So, I think it's as close as possible to being absolutely no chance without saying that it definitely will not work. M definitely had it available for sale on Wednesday at 22p because I found it at Wrexham supposed price-collection store. The one version that was without a SEL:rotfl::(. I have seen no 22p SELs anywhere and I think the chances of coming across a store with such a SEL - and will probably require stock at this stage as it has been absent for so long - is pretty remote. So, like me, you probably stand a slim chance of stumbling across the item possibly mixed in with the other versions which I assume are regular prices. I don't know if it is still at Wrexham, as I bought the one I saw on the shelf and it may have been the last one.

I know that this was paying for body wash:eek: - although, having said that, the 22p price is better than some glitch prices for this type of item (body wash/shower gel) on the APG that weren't always 'paid to take away'. At least I don't need to bother with 400ml Lynx Shower Gels at £1.50:rotfl:. I could have done a lot worse than 22p for 250ml - I could have got the 400ml Dove Men + Care Extra Fresh, probably available throughout most Ms, at according to the SELs its full £3.67 price:eek::eek::rotfl:.

I suspect these things just get left in storage in the store and then discovered months later and brought out - and, occasionally, if they are there on the shelf for long enough eventually get a SEL before the store then has it 'clear out' months after the original one and the product disappears very quickly as soon as any shoppers notice its price.

In fact - quite separately, fwiw - I also now think that the exact range of items stocked in every M changes every day.

Also in Wrexham, that's just suddenly appeared there as far as I know, is the Fiore Mio Amarettini (250g) product - one of the 10p items from months ago. So I've got confirmation of that still being 10p in M - after months of no trace for myself (but rightly as usually keeping it on the list as "they're always available somewhere even if in none of the stores I ever see"). In fact I think I may last have seen it at 10p offer label and no stock whatsoever in one of the stores in the South West of England in February:rotfl:. I remember moving its price down to 10p just because purely by chance I happened to come across that SEL - and it's remained, on the list, at that price, ever since. It was in Wrexham yesterday - it's highly likely still there now at the time of posting as there was somewhat more than one unit of stock - in the general biscuits/snacks aisle with full price SEL:rotfl:. It's probably elsewhere as well - appearing in random stores at random moments, won't be in many stores at any one time but someone else elsewhere in the country will have it. It certainly went through the till at 10p yesterday.

I had a hunch about the Pampers Active Fit products at £2 probably :(dropping off the APG (or at least the APG losing some or even most of them but we don't know which ones) at about this time. I now think my hunch is probably correct. I only had one version in a single store yesterday (from the 5 stores) and even that version was just a SEL and OOS. I've come across more stores that now have no trace of them whatsoever*. This must lessen the chances of them being picked up and compared against.

I do still have the Crosse & Blackwell tinned soups and have come across, at random, two stores with a fuller range of them in and showing the RTC price - and one store that now had only one version and that doesn't count as it's on the RTC shelf and not in the main aisle. Otherwise I'd pick them up for you from Wrexham with their full price SEL:rotfl::eek:.

I've also been picking up additional Cow & Gate products at their RTC prices:rotfl:. However, with me, you'd have to find the one version that I happened to have in the one RTC SEL store that I found nowhere else at all. Although I have one store showing RTC prices across quite a number of the Cow & Gates, it's outweighed by all four of the other stores showing full price and mbuy on all the versions they stock, which is most of the versions that the "RTC SEL" store has.

On Monday all four of my (different) stores were showing full price and mbuy. That's now just one out of nine different stores this week showing the RTCs. I think this is likely to mean many of them will be failing on the APG now - but it's possible one or two versions, and we don't know which, most likely to be ones that they just happen to have in a minority-store that has left the RTC up and that they didn't have in any of their other stores, might pick up the RTC price if they pick that up.

Certainly though you could visit six stores (the number I think to be used by the APG) and all of them now be full price and mbuy display. I only have one out of nine that has the RTCs. I don't know what price they actually now are in M, but, whilst it's not impossible that the APG could have an RTC SEL store, I think most, and possibly all, of the versions stocked in that store will be found probably in at least two other stores - most likely to be showing full price and mbuy for them - and thus that's now the pricing the APG is most likely to get across them all (such as it has them - I still keep picking up additional ones by visiting beyond six stores:rotfl:).

I am still of the view that they may have worked last week but I think they're now no-go on the APG (unless someone comes up with a womble that shows a specific version picking up 30p - or 40p/50p if that's the different size) - eight out of nine of the stores I've seen this week (they were all different) have the full price and mbuy - so, the great majority of the stores I'm seeing.

I'll keep adding them, the new ones that I find anywhere at 30p etc., fwiw, to the list but they'll remain in crossed-out form as they are going to be full price and mbuy picked up (from SEL information) on most of them from the majority of stores I think!

Right, I shan't be able to get out again at all today - I have other things to sort out in any event - so I will be back at some point to do the update (again a sliding scale done over days) and I just thought these were the main things coming out of the price check yesterday to let you know about:).

    Goodbye for now!

*In fact four stores, nothing at all at Wrexham either now (fwiw), and just this one store in Greater Manchester that had an OOS version in evidence (simply because the SEL was still there and the last unit of stock probably bought earlier today, before I got there).

M Hardy Pinks (BC 2 329259 601003)£1.00 BC 2 329259 202002 is £2:(. I think these are going more towards the ones that are £2 now. I reckon old £1 stock may be quite rare now.

I'll share my moment of excitement from earlier with you. I've had several stores with only £2 stock now. However, I've come across a store with the older £1 stock:D! When I saw that, after seeing only £2 elsewhere, I thought "Yes!:D" and almost jumped up and down! I get these moments sometimes, when going out to other stores. So, you may in some Ms - but I think most will not be this way - find some unit of stock at £1 that just happened to have got left behind and hasn't yet been bought. It was Stockport that came up trumps for me:).:j:rotfl:

Most of the stock was £2 but I saw this one unit of stock on the old BC at £1 and that one unit of stock was all I needed (for me to change my list when I next update it and confirm that there is still some £1 stock around*).

It's okay - if you're in Stockport store, you can buy it. I won't be back at Stockport any time soon so will be left going to numerous other Ms trying to keep finding this £1 version in future with no luck:rotfl:. That said, I don't know why I have £1 plants on the list at all. I saw several plants knocked down to 20p price at one store (not Stockport) - although this is store-specific so I didn't take details of what they were. So, you may be in luck, on some random day, and be able to buy various plants much cheaper. (They included some whose normal price, elsewhere, is over £1.) Basically, I think just pop to your M (if you have one, or more) whenever you are already going and have a look as you might come across them at some point, but I'd say don't make a special trip for them as you're unlikely to find them (in the sense that I don't come across such a thing too often).

    See you now.:wave::wave:

*rather than merely "reckoning" that old stock "may" now be quite rare

    Forgotten one:rotfl:.

Santa Maria Mild Fajita Seasoning 30g is 50p
but Santa Maria Mild Fajita Seasoning 28g is 89p.

28g is marked "New recipe". I may prefer the old one:rotfl:. Also may be a similar position on the Medium version - I only had the 28g version of that in the stores yesterday to check (it is 89p).

[Strike]I'll need to go to my list later and check that the weight details match up precisely:rotfl:.[/Strike] (EDIT: Already done now.) Looks like they are moving to a slight downsizing and charging full price 89p instead of 50p for it!

(I was alerted to it by more than one SEL showing full price and then wondering if the offer had ended - and then I noticed the two different packs. Or, in fact, three - I couldn't find the 30g Medium version, shall we assume:eek:(:rotfl:) that that's still 50p?)

There's a hot version at 30g as well, according to my list. (And doubtless a 28g one at 89p:(.) And several others, all at 30g, that I have as 50p:). I can't always find them in the stores I use - this downsizing seems to have sold some of the 30g ones out of the stores I've now happened to visit instead:( - I've no evidence to suggest that they have changed in price - it seems some "new" 28g:( versions have come in to M and are full price - I'll keep what I had before still saying 50p as 'they will be around somewhere'. Glad that seems to have checked the Santa Marias haven't changed on the list:rotfl:.

In fact, I might at some stage (this is a separate point;)) move the reduction items onto a separate list (maybe items that I've lost for ages?) to be then looked at by people and then gone through as you might find some of the items now at even cheaper prices somewhere. It's good as to what to be looking for, months later, without SELs. You might just happen to come across an item, and remember it from the list (like I did with the Extra Fresh Dove Men + Care:rotfl: - I thought, ooh, is that one of the RTC items I had months ago? A different flavour and it's not got a SEL! I wonder what price that is?!? When they offered me 22p, at that price, I ended up buying it. I usually turn them down - seemingly good prices of 50p when I was hoping for 10p:rotfl: - but, occasionally, they offer me something that seems extremely good:cool:).

In fact, many of the RTCs that I have come across, at any time, are still on the list - with me never seeing them again for months and refusing to remove them all as "they're always going to be somewhere":rotfl:. Thank goodness, sometimes, maybe, for the 'hoarding' that I seem to be doing:eek: on the M list. I need to remove stuff perhaps onto a separate list, so that the main ones can then be items that are generally available - rather than, perhaps, being clogged up by what is in virtually nobody's store:rotfl:. It'll take me ages to do this - as I keep putting it off - and that's the downside to the upside of the ability to do the collection (my fantastic memory does help in knowing what to delete as expired offers etc.). For instance, many of the bottles of water seem to have disappeared from everywhere I go to now - although, that said, I've now come across Highland Spring 750ml sports cap at 41p again that I haven't seen in any store for months:rotfl:. So, I never know - though I suspect these items, really, are gone.

I definitely ought to mention some Zip Original Firelighters Long Burn 15 pack at 32p RTC now in M. (I think - subject to confirmation as I need to check what I have written down later: my memory fails me:rotfl:). Now I never find things like this:D. Also a pack of M Microfibre Cloth - 1 cleaning cloth and 1 polishing cloth - at RTC price too - 32p or 34p, something like that? Again, need to check that the details are exactly right - but hope that's helped for now. Those seem to be new RTCs (new to me anyway:o) so there might be more hope of finding them - more hope than the Dove Men + Care perhaps - although, then again, I found precisely that - and, do have a rummage around the shelf if you are at Wrexham M (or maybe indeed anywhere else) as, you never know, there might have been more left there behind all the two other flavours (just normal aisle) or they might have more somewhere that they are bringing out and may be putting onto the shelf.

The Plums punnet 400g too - I wouldn't bet on that working. All of the punnets I've seen on Wednesday are price-marked £1 and I have that price on the shelves too - sometimes there's no shelf price and then any price collector would get £1 - I did have one store that had £1 price marked on the punnets but at least did have correct 72p shelf price (hopefully they would get that). But they do seem risky.

With the £1 now marked on the punnets, I was myself in doubt, when I saw a 72p SEL in one store, as to whether the 72p was correct anymore:rotfl:. Especially given me seeing £1 SEL in two previous stores:(. I thought they may have gone back up to £1 and the 72p SEL been out of date and not been removed when it should have been. (I never know which way prices are going - does the £1 in the other more than one previous store mean it's now gone up to £1? Or have those stores not yet put the 72p price onto the shelf when they are 72p?) So, I took one to the SS where I said it says £1 on the punnet but the shelf says 72p, so can I check the price? SA told me it would be £1, and then watched whilst I scanned the item and...sure enough, 72p:rotfl:.

I think there may be a risk with the Plum Punnets on the APG now that the punnets seem to be price-marked £1. They are not always putting 72p SELs up in M. Someone will definitely buy them on a womble though (they always do:(:rotfl:) so that, undoubtedly, we'll see fairly soon if they'll work or not. 72p is pretty dear though:rotfl::rotfl:. My guide ought to be 50p:eek::rotfl:.

I didn't spot an issue on Monday - maybe this means they would currently work but Wednesday data might be tricky?

By the way, I don't now know what the price of Savoy Cabbage in M is:rotfl:. But it matters not anyway as, even if it was 51p, that would be too dear:rotfl::rotfl:. I was left with the impression from my final store on Monday, given that it was now later in the day and maybe a change about to happen the following day, that this may be going to 63p. However, I have 51p SEL showing in at least three stores where I paid any attention to them on Wednesday, so maybe my last store on Monday simply hadn't changed its SEL:rotfl:. Glad to clarify. I think they'll now scan at 51p:rotfl::rotfl:. 5 different stores - different result from 4 other ones from Monday (as to what impression I'm left with at the end)! I had 51px3 and 63p on Monday, so I thought they were 63p?!?:question:

(They'll be even more 'fun' on the KTC Veg. Oil:eek: later - two completely different sets of prices, in the same store, side by side, both with the offer ending on 24th July. And, as if to reinforce it, the pricing that I believe to be incorrect - or believe less to be right - is on the shelf twice, whilst the one I think to be correct just has the one label for it. But all three say ends 24th July:rotfl:. The price that just has the one label there seems to be the general consensus in all other stores I've seen that stock it, so I hope that's the one we go by:cool:. On my list already - I don't think there's any change in price, despite the (unintentional) best efforts of one store maybe to try to make me doubt it:rotfl::rotfl:. Almost makes me wish I'd never gone to that store and then I would never have seen it:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.)

That must be it from me for now, surely. Goodnight. I'll see you again later.
