I think what has worked against us is that I have been doing small one item shops in Sainsburys now for a couple of months trying to get my average spend level as low as possible in the hope that the better mycoupons offers (eg 800 points for a £40 shop) would eventually come back - not yet and it might take six months.
so we have to do 8 shops and everyone else only has to do 3 or 4 :D

I've given up trying to buy the apples from Sains. I bought some from A, with a womble, and even from M:eek:, even though, because I needed a different type of apple to Aldi's, I was paying a little bit more for my apples - and for my pears:(. I note pears in Aldi now at 69p. So it's 6p more to M in order to 'save' 25p on the apples, and therefore only a 19p deduction and even then ending up with 75p price (on the apples) instead of Aldi's 62p. But given that the ones at 62p in Aldi (or yesterday were) aren't Gala apples (the point is non-Braeburn apples really) - and there don't appear to be many good prices on apples around at the moment - it certainly seemed better than wasting 80p of Nectar points for just 5 apples from S:(. I've given up with them (for now) - not bothering to shop with them at all until they can come up with something worth buying. Of course, almost none of the points that I have available to spend (no rush, whenever:cool:) were collected by shopping at S - just about, I've found, the most inefficient way of collecting points! Inefficient for me = efficient for them. We are at total cross purposes and completely opposite aims to the supermarkets, and pulling teeth from them all the time! Or I'm a cynic:rotfl:. But it is actually cynical the way they do offers and promotions. And wouldn't you? If I was running a business to make money, I'd do exactly the same thing as the supermarkets do.

I just got 4 x 4.50 off wys £30 in the post, which is better than the previous lot of cond spends (didn't use those as they required £40 spends and with no BM incentive it's more difficult now to get motivated by it.)

But whether I use this lot is also dubious as I still seem to be well stocked.

As for Nectar, I have double points on next 5 shops with 100 points to be thrown in on the 6th.

So 50p for 6 shopping trips. Hardly seems worth bothering, especially for mini-shops.

Wonder what TM gets though, as S adore her. :D

Pity this is an evening do, £10 a ticket but you do get a goody bag and if you are strong willed enough not to buy anything it could be fun :)
