I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

My clinical nurse specialist asked me recently if I was interested in getting in touch with another patient of his in a similar position to me. I thought it can't be any different to the Swedish penpal thing we got allocated at primary schoolso I agreed, all I had to do was give my email address. We two are his only under 60 patients.
I sent an intrepid introduction email last week. Nothing heavy, just my basic circumstances, where I'm up to with treatment and how I'm feeling. He replied today and made me cryhe's of a very similar age to me, we were diagnosed pretty close to each other so our treatment is in a similar place, but for the first time since i was first diagnosed......I have spoken to someone who feels what I'm feeling and that's what made me cry. I can talk for England....or even Scotland but no one can understand if they're not doing it. That's ok, but it's frustrating.
So I cried but in a good way. It was a good idea and I hope more nurses around the country are trying to match like minded people because of their situations
Before I crawl back to bed I just had to reply to you FC. What a superb thing for the clinical nurse specialist to set up. At last someone who knows and understands what you are going through and how you feel. Will you be keeping in touch or was this just a one off?
It has made me cry, but tears of happiness that at least there is someone there that really gets you girl. Support for each other would be a wonderful feeling when no one else really understands X
Well as my eyes are screaming they want to close, I'd better find my bed. Need to be up at 6.30am as ds4 has at long last got a job :T. He's had 2 induction days, starting at 9am but tomorrow it is 7.30am, I'd hate for him to be late  so my alarm is set.
