I've had a bit of an emotional week. Just a one thing and another week that builds up and gets to you. But I was tipped over the edge by an email earlier.
My clinical nurse specialist asked me recently if I was interested in getting in touch with another patient of his in a similar position to me. I thought it can't be any different to the Swedish penpal thing we got allocated at primary schoolso I agreed, all I had to do was give my email address. We two are his only under 60 patients.
I sent an intrepid introduction email last week. Nothing heavy, just my basic circumstances, where I'm up to with treatment and how I'm feeling. He replied today and made me cryhe's of a very similar age to me, we were diagnosed pretty close to each other so our treatment is in a similar place, but for the first time since i was first diagnosed......I have spoken to someone who feels what I'm feeling and that's what made me cry. I can talk for England....or even Scotland but no one can understand if they're not doing it. That's ok, but it's frustrating.
So I cried but in a good way. It was a good idea and I hope more nurses around the country are trying to match like minded people because of their situations0 -

She is £1.97 in M:(. She is already a crossed-out item on the list. I think we are on Monday's collection. I did try, but I found her showing £1.97 in all four Ms in which I looked for her unfortunately - and I suspect she would have been showing £1.97 in the fifth if I'd looked for her there too. I just couldn't get M to show £1 I'm afraid. So, I have reached a slight, tiny, tentative feeling that she might be £1.97 in M:rotfl:.
That's right, quadruple checks:eek: these days to try to make sure an item really has gone up in price. Sadly it seems the price collectors have reached the same position as my own current viewpoint and that they're on the same hymn sheet as me on this item.
Anyway, just popping back in to post this - and goodnight again!:):wave:0
