Popped into Farmfoods, as I realised all my Christmas cheese stash had gone.
    Mature Cheddar 1kg packs £3.99.
    Butter 49p per pack.
Some great offers in there at the moment, may do a muggle shop next week using one of their coupons.

    hth

As my Tesco is now rubbish for whoopsies I resorted to farmfoods for a big shop (for me anyway spending £22) after coupon and cashback using my tsb contactless. Here are some of my good buys which I hope will help others

    Milk 2 x 2 litres £1
    7.5 kg potatoes 2.99
    Onions 5 kg £1.50
    72 weetabix 3.99
kiora orange squash 2 litres 99p
    nice cream biscuits 29p
    jamaica ginger cake 49p
    buttery spread 1kg 99p
6 cornetto style ice creams 99p
    heinz beetroot 710g 59p
    long life orange/apple juice/cranberry 2 for £1.00
crisp and dry rapeseed oil 1 litre 99p
    peas 900g 3 for £2

I did not have any trouble spending the £25 whereas in other smarkets I really struggle. You really need to know your prices when shopping in there but I do not feel there are any real rip off prices like in the major 4. hth others with a farmfoods store.

They gave me £2.50, i got some lovely scones, dustpan and brush and 15 eggs paid 47p i think it was:T:T

    Well done :T:T

They probably don't like me much - I had £26 in BM over my last 3 shops :)

Actually, the more I think about it, the more sense it makes, stopping the BM. S will now get to keep the customers they really want, the ones who won't mind their prices.

Sorry trulymadly - I didn't look for the butter but it was on our leaflet so assume it should be in all stores. I am never sure which spread to buy as butter has more fat in it but now the 'experts' are saying it is better fat! I just try and spread it really thinly which I can't do with butter. Like to know what other eliters use and their opinions on the fat content of spreads/butter.

I would rather have a slither of butter rather than flora etc.

If you look at the ingredients matty, a good unsalted butter will contain only milk or cream while a margarine can contain a load of unknowns. I used only butter for years and years, my children knew nothing else. I then got waylaid by the bad fats argument and started buying Flora.
I think I've now come full circle but tend to have both in the house.
