I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

well you will be much relived that I've stopped flapping around like a headless chook and got to grips with the house insurance this morning and finally I've gone and done it.
I tried More than again but the link is still saying system busy so I gave up, their lose if they don't want my custom and went back to looking at Tesco bank house insurance again, generated a new quote - I went for a big excess as (fingers and toes all crossed) its unlikely that we would claim for anything other than internationally sized disasters - you have to admit on future forms you have made a claim for up to 9 years afterwards so that's potentially 9 years of increased premiums.
here is an odd thing. Just before I pressed go I went through the details and I realised my date of birth was 10 years out
so I went back and corrected it and this saved me £7 :j
so home insurance sorted, old insurance policy cancelled (policy expert have constantly emailed and rung me about 6 times now to remind me, each time I tell them I will do it when I am ready and not before and still the calls come in)
and then I remembered a huge bill that needed paying which I would easily have forgotten about
the savings accounts are going to look like tragic wastelands tomorrow
so all of the evil jobs now done and I can go and play in the garden guilt free :j“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
