Out of interest ... can children's saving bank accounts receive online payments from outside parties/companies or would it show as a different sort of account? I know they cannot do direct debits out but wonder if they could receive money from offers into their account as interest has been expressed in using pocket money for some of the offers ... that said I think you have to be 16 to sign up for Cashback accounts (18 for some offers like alcohol, obviously) so they coukdn't have their own CoS accounts etc.
Also when you filll in bank details for offers where it asks for sort code, account number and account name, does account name get used as part of processing or is it just used as a reference? Or indeed when you make online payments? It has always puzzled me as some ask for details as they appear in your card but that is initials and does not match my fill account name on my account (so not a text match, iyswim)
Thanks

Most of these things are very automated now so unless the account has a restriction on payments going in then there should be no problem....if you want to check that funds can be accepted by transfer set up a one off standing order payment for £1 from your account to the other one....although TBH it's how we have paid pocket money for years and because of automation there is nothing to differentiate between who pays the funds in.
something worth checking though is possibly over withdrawing the funds...sometimes kids accounts get a better rate of interest for the fewer withdrawals in a calender year.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

No nor have mine- probably just as well with the changeable weather:D0 -
Glad it's not just me.

We will have different door to the kitchen than rest of house but I justified that because it will match the 2 new doors in there. I would eventually like to change them all but it's not the right time. And they are not easy to store just hope can get the same.
In fact maybe I should at least buy the handles, not a good as deal as you got though. :money: It was you wasn't it E?
Oh yes, that was us, quite pleased with that one
And they are nicer handles than the ones I was looking at off Ebay, never did like the scroll handles (which is the one we ended up with on the bathroom because we needed one quickly!) What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

We went to a little industrial unit where the guys had all there handles and knobs on display so you could try them.
I needed something I wouldn't find difficult to grip with my tiny hands and arthritis and without knowing actually went for one of the cheapest none of them were priced. :eek:0 -
