Mr D where you been..I've missed you! xx

Di...glad to see you out on the other side...and hopefully the road to recovery is a straight one x

cjj....our house is full of piles of revision at the moment,I can't seem to move for A level exam papers....although the main bulk doesn't kick in until next week.
Hope your DS is feeling better today...and that you are not feeling too bad about it all either x

I shall of course need a new hat and dress if there is any form of vow renewal taking place....I do think I need a nice summer occasion to get me back into the spirit of things....I wonder if we could incorporate a digger into the proceedings?

I have a little event I need to attend in a couple of weeks....the first for a long time and I'm happy to report that I have actually bought a new dress for the occasion

    oh...by the way....Good morning all x

    Morning. :)

Had to send the builder back out as he got rounded architraves and the rest of the house has straight ones. They are so old he can't get the same but my OCD was fighting mixing the round with the straight. :o

Mr TS was not bothered but give builder his due he could tell it bothered me, we do have a more modern straight frame downstairs where door was knocked through and I never really notice the difference and he can match that.

If that's all I have to worry about life must be good. :D

I have to admit that would have driven me up the wall too.

OH wanted to replace just the door that needs replacing, (he thinks 1 needs replacing, I think 2 need replacing) but they are ancient and the new ones would never match, so he suggested that we replace the lot when he realised :D I think things need to match in the house, the bathroom door handle was replaced a few years ago (DS managed to break it ) and has not matched the rest, it has always annoyed me.

That reminds me, it is rather lucky we have not yet booked our holiday. Our niece has had the audacity to plonk her wedding right in the middle of the time period we normally holiday in

No idea what I will be wearing for that yet, it is in October so weather could do anything. That said, the weather could do anything at any time so should make no real difference, just want to be a little bit smaller first.

Funds from yesterdays ipint payout are visible in my account. I see it under pending.
Why do accounts have pending? Why can't it go straight in.

Out of interest ... can children's saving bank accounts receive online payments from outside parties/companies or would it show as a different sort of account? I know they cannot do direct debits out but wonder if they could receive money from offers into their account as interest has been expressed in using pocket money for some of the offers ... that said I think you have to be 16 to sign up for Cashback accounts (18 for some offers like alcohol, obviously) so they coukdn't have their own CoS accounts etc.

Also when you filll in bank details for offers where it asks for sort code, account number and account name, does account name get used as part of processing or is it just used as a reference? Or indeed when you make online payments? It has always puzzled me as some ask for details as they appear in your card but that is initials and does not match my fill account name on my account (so not a text match, iyswim)

    Thanks

In case they want to snatch it back ... or waiting for the little man/woman with the wheelbarrow of cash to physically move it from one bank to another in London as they no longer trust each other :D.

I'm sure he'd be more than happy for me to have a new hobby if it meant I didn't drag him off shopping. Which I am doing because the fridge is bare.
The shopping training is going very slowly and tries my patience to far beyond anything I knew I was capable of. His bag packing skills are infuriating  :rotfl: BUT he has joined the rest of the world in having finally used a chip and pin machine  he is good at carrying bags though :D
