I am delighted, I have just managed to reset my favourite dab radio so it receives the new stations :D I have a Pure DAB Bug, one of the first, it is a classic and has a lot of style, now back in pride of place in my kitchen :D

I think the Annual Great Britain Snail Rally is being held in my garden

In that case the cover on my new furniture must be the warm up track :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thank you all for my birthday wishes. The cake is what my daughter bought for me . I don't really know why the yellow icing though unless it's because it is Rileys favourite colour.

I did my celebrating on Sunday as everyone else is in work today. We went to The Beeches, Nellie will know where that is and had a nice birthday meal.

The cake was shared out . It was a coffee and walnut cake with sponge ones round it. :)

Good morning LS sorry to hear your friend is not doing so good it is so hard to see this happening when obviously she has been in remission for a while ...but on a lighter note you seem to have come on in leaps and bounds well done you:TI am back up to London in a few weeks time for a 6 mths checkup ..how time flies;)

Thanks nanny. 6 months, wow! That has gone really fast. Hope the check up goes fine. Bladder wise I'm doing great. Joined the gym on Saturday, feeing motivated.

My friend has been having palliative chemo since diagnosis so has felt poorly a lot of the time, but due to the chemo rather than any symptoms. She's had a break from chemo for a few months and was just preparing to get started again in the next month or so when this happened. Unfortunately her cancer is pretty rare, so the next chemo treatment is the last one available to her, so if it doesn't work or stops working that's it. She'd already had to come to terms with that, but I think being symptom free it was quite easy to delude herself of the reality of the situation. However, that's changed now with the problem with her lungs striking seemingly from nowhere (not really because it was always there, just hadn't effected her up to this point). :(
