Sole Trader & Bank Account

When I went to open a business account, the interview started with an accusation that I had been running a business through my personal account. Since the transactions they were objecting to were transfers from another account in my name with another bank, the interview rapidly went downhill. Needless to say their attitude meant that they did not get my Ltd company's business.0

The MSE small business banking guide has some very low-cost options (and may have been where OP saw the comment about sole traders using personal accounts, although that doesn't help if there aren't any actual examples of Ts & Cs that permit this!).Last time I enquired you can get business banking for less than a tenner a month.0 -
Amongst all of the thread drift, who wrote what, bizarre use of the word "original" and post id bungling, still no quote.
This is the nearest thing to trolling I've experienced on MSE - and it stops now.
Just admit you were wrong, you misled the OP, by claiming soemthing was illicit that wasn't.

Thank you all for the advice, suggestions and links.
I definitely will not be doing anything that would be seen as 'wrong' in the eyes of anyone - be it an accountant, bank or Inland Revenue. I really hope my posts haven't come across as trying to 'dodge' something. I was hoping it would save on the HUGE fees being charged.
I think it's safe to say that I need to look for the best deals on business bank accounts.0 -
