Do I need a firewall for internet banking?

Which firewall you use is almost completely irrelevant. What primarily influences your level of security is how the firewall is configured.
As an extreme example, you can have the world's best firewall, but if you have an "any any all" rule it won't do anything to protect you.

Gosh I used IE 3, no security, saved yor password, and lloyds bank in 1999. Never been stung!0
