Hi - first time poster - pls b nice!
Im going away to New York in a few weeks and want to take a Visa card incase of emergency and possibly large purchases e.g handbags or shoes!
I want a card that obviously doesn't charge me alot on loading charges but also want a while to pay the card off and so 0% would be ideal for a while.
I've had a look through many of the articles but still a bit unsure, does anyone have any suggestions as to what they think I would be best doing or what people may have done previsouly in a similar position?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thank You!

The post office card and nationwide cc do not charge any loading fees. There may be one or two others which don't charge, but I would recommend reading MArtin's article on the best way of spending money abroad.
