These have already sold out for this year, but if anyone is looking for something in following years, these are great: https://podpads.com/glastonbury-worthy-view-2016

We hired one out for the LowLands festival in Holland in 2010/11 (I can't remember exact year now). It was great. Sectioned off area, with security, it's own toilet in that area (so no massive queues), the pods are lockable, you get a comfy blow up bed, and storage underneath, and we were still really close to a shower block too :)

Sorry OP, I know it doesn't help you this year, but as you like the music etc, you might like it for future years :)

ETA: OMG! The prices have gone up massively! Sorry, hadn't realised!

    2 things going on here:

    1. is Glastonbury worth it? Probably not, loads of small local festivals, smashing line-ups, lovely atmosphere and you could go to several for the same cost (I do).

    2. will you upset your friends? You know better than anyone - if you're worried, go this year and make different plans for next.

Wow so jealous. Have been trying to get tickets for 5 years now!!!
Love Glastonbury and it is what you make it. Yes it's hard work, your back aches, you can freeze, bake and get wet throughout the weekend. You feel dirty and grubby. Walk miles and yes was petrified of someone tripping over and falling on our tent, but
1.You can camp on the outskirts. Pretty quiet by the Dairy. Wear ear plugs, they help a lot.
    2. Yes have been known to be in bed by 9.30pm listening to the rain. On music nights go straight back after bands finish. In bed by 1ish. No shame in that.
    3. Don't take any valuables with you. I wear a money belt and sleep with it in my sleeping bag at night.
    4. I hardly drink when I'm there. Don't have to. Eat reasonable healthily especially in the green fields and park field.

What I love about Glasto is anything goes and great for people watching. Have found everyone really friendly and relaxed.
Love it love it love it.

I would go and make the best of it. You don't have to go ever again. Enjoy the music and the sights.

It was a luxury to get a Winnebago for Glastonbury, but worked out being worth every penny split between 8 people. It really made the festival, the queen sized bed was amazing and I managed to cook Sunday lunch for 12 in the better equipped kitchen than my home!.

Having your own toilet and shower was amazing and the neighbours were cool, I never expected to be parked between a Super model and friends and a certain Radio 2 DJ who were surprisingly friendly and opened up a few doors at glasto that are shut to normal folks.

What's va ballpark figure for hiring one ? I've committed to 2 festivals this year, but a mate has a 50th next year and a wiiniebago sounds a banging idea !

It wasn't cheap, i think between 8 of us it worked out at 300 each but that was for the biggest and best spec the company had. There were a number of camper vans starting at 2 berth and up.

Couple of our group was celebrating a 40th and a 50th and we decided we didn't do camping anymore and due to who the neighbours were, we managed to get into the VIP areas and experienced a very different Glasto to what we had seen in previous years.

Ta. We'd be happy enough shelling out 200 ish each.

Did you get complimentary hunter wellies in the VIP area?
