A company called WorldwideInsure also offer Excess Insurance and for European countries is £1.95 per day and for the rest of the world is £2.50 which is cheaper than Insurance4carhire. A week (7 days cover) would cost £13.65. Or you could buy an Annual Policy covering up to a maximum of 31 days per trip at £55 for Europe and £65 Worldwide, which is slightly more expensice than Insurance4carhire. The limit of their payout is £3,000 per rental. I'm not sure what limitInsurance4carhire may have.
They are members of BIBA and regulated by the FSA so I would suggest are reasonably reputable.0 -
Yes try these guys. Very easy to sort out Insurance4carhire.com. Annual policy costs £49. Do this transaction through Quidco and get £9.80 cash back.
We used them for trip to spain in Aug. v. easy to do.
Have a great time0 -
we used daily excess http://www.dailyexcess.com/index.asp?dxs=1&curID=1&langID=1&refID=275&pID=48
which is just a different section of Insurance for car hire.
i had a great deal of difficulty when making enquiries. my wife rang them up and asked a few question and swears to this day that they said "you cannot take out the policy ..until after you have collected the car and have it,s registraion ect".
so i get my hire car ring them up to be told "you should have taken out the policy BEFORE you signed for the car..no one here would have said different and we don,t issue post hire policys tough luck !!"
a 10 min angry call from my wife later and they did issue the policy . good job too as we had to make a claim on it, which i,m happy to say they payed in full without hassel.Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0
