What paint stripper to use?

After reading several reviews on nitromors being useless now a day's
What stripper could I use to remove tons of paint from wood work on my stairs

As above, all generally available paint strippers have been euro dumbed down and don't work as they used to.

I do similar to as Phil said and go straight to the trade counter at Johnstones, the guys will sell the proper stuff and the manager is very obliging.
