Hi,
I have a euro account in a eurozone country and a debit card linked to that account.
Is there an ATM machine in London that i can use to withdraw Euros with my debit card?
Without any charges/secret conversions applied? Ideally withdraw 400 euros in London, 400 euros debited in my origin account.
Thank you

I doubt it. There's a travelex machine at the national theatre which dispenses GBP, EUR & USD but my guess is that there would be a charge.0

Any travelex or other travel money shop has an ATM that should enable you to withdraw in Euros. There was one in Oxford Circus when I was last there.
That said, why are you withdrawing Euros in the UK? Surely you want £££?0 -
I don't want the bank to do the conversion
i want to be in charge of selecting a competitive exchange office and turn the euros into pounds. Those listed in the FX comparison tool on this site are very good value.
There was a similar thread but it is old. Wondering if there are any updates!0 -
And to give away some more information in case anyone wandering.
Capital controls in Greece allow only 420 euros per week withdrawal from an ATM (even if it is in London). It's a very annoying situation....0 -

Getting USD/Euro fee free without a loaded exchange rate0 -
Look for the Raphaels Bank ATMs in certain tube and rail stations, the locations are on their website. They are the only ones that (reportedly) give a straight euro withdrawal with a euro debit card.
Otherwise, sign up with Revolut on their smartphone app, using your same address as for your debit card. Load the euro balance with your debit card and convert to pounds at the interbank rate (better than any exchange office). Withdraw, or use the Revolut MasterCard to spend, no fees (except 2% on ATM withdrawals over £500 per month).Evolution, not revolution0 -
Moneycorp have withdrawn from Heathrow so this no longer works there. All the machines have been taken over by Travelex which insist on doing the currency conversion and charging in £.
Not sure whether there are still any left at other airports.0 -

Yes - as above try some of the larger tube stations. Look for the blue coloured cash machines - they issue euros and are debited from your euro account as if you took the cash out in the eurozone.

Liverpool Street tube station has at least 3 - in the two tube entrances.0 -
Yes the Raphael ATMs were mentioned in the old thread, seems the blue cash machines in the tube stations are operated by them. Glad to hear they are still a viable option.
Sounds to good to be true! I will give them a go and report how much i got charged if anything.
The Revolut card although a very good deal does not get around the capital controls in Greece. I cannot use the debit card to make purchases (load the revolut card) to companies outside Greece.0 -

Good luck.
I have a euro account with an Irish bank. I can make withdrawals in euros from these machines and the exact same amount in euros is deducted from my account without any charges - as if I withdrew the cash in Ireland or any Eurozone nation. Clearly if your home bank charges for ATM withdrawals anyway it might be different - but they won't be any different from what you would pay if you withdrew from an ATM in Greece.0
