High Savings with monthly interest paid!!

Couple of questions i need assistance with if possible.

I have 20k in my current account earning no interest. I am currently bying a house taht needs renovating so in next 3 montsh will need access to 7-10k of it. I am looking for a savings accounts taht pays interest on a monthly basis and provides instant access.

I currently bank with Halifax, is it in my interest to get a savings account with them to permit instant access between accounts (no delay)?

Shall i go for a best buy option elses where? is that little bit more interest worth the possible delays in gaining physical access to the money.
