credit card debts after a death???

Does anyone know if a card balance has to be repaid after a death??? Or should there be an inbuilt insurance to cover the outstanding balance??? Any helpful advice please???

Debts are paid by the estate.
If the deceised person has monies, all debts are paid first; what's left goes to the heir(s).
If there is nothing, nothing gets paid and nothing gets inherited.0
