And I thought that the government was pushing for people to be able to switch between suppliers with more ease ie) No more being tied to the same suppliers for phones as internet connections ?

Somebody was also pushing for more transparency in pricing (ASA? Ofcom?) and I'm guessing this is their response to that. Perhaps they will also offer individual products although SFAIK the only ADSL you can run on a TT line is theirs.
Should they decide to only sell bundles then my betting is that is their prerogative regardless of any preference the government may have.0 -

more to do with LLU kit rather than anything else, makes the bb stupidly cheap for them to provide, and no access for other ISPs to the TT backhaul. Same for all other LLU lines/providers I would imagine...........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

but that's a different market to the consumer market, and are they also selling wholesale space on their DSLAMs/MSANs?......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
