hi. (I am new to android)
I've just got an Android tablet (5.0.1). I did have Amazon music app running on my old ipad and have now installed it on the new Android.
the only difference is, and for me its an issue (I am using the tablet in a fixed position setup and access to buttons isn't convenient), there is no on screen volume slider control within the app on the android whereas there is one next to the "back / pause / forward" button on the ipad.
am I missing something or is that a limitation on the android version of the app?
annoyingly the Amazon video app does have a volume slider.

can anyone suggest a very simple app that will just allow vol +/- via a screen slider?

also, there's a few apps that are not removable but which I wont be using. I can delete the shortcuts but within the actual apps draw I was hoping to merge them all in to one folder to hide away. it appears I can't do this? again am I missing something or can anyone suggest a simple app that will do it?

thanks for reading and for any help.

    thanks.
exactly what I want to do but how?
I thought dragging one app onto another would create a folder but no. if I click and hold an app it just opens the front page to allow me to place a shortcut there.

    edit:
I want to create a folder with all the "junk" on the app page, not the homepage shortcuts.

Go to the settings. Go to Apps. Find the Apps you don't want in the list. Can you disable them? If so do so and they will disappear from the app draw. They can be reinstated if you wish in the future. If they can't be uninstalled or disabled you won't be able to remove them without root access.

I so wanted to love my Android tablet but there just seems too many little niggly things that need to be done to get it to the state I would like it. although I have an ipad I am no label/brand junkie.
this may be an issue with apps but also the simple folder issue is a silly omission IMHO. having sought info it seems apps could be merged in previous versions of android but not 5.0.1
I am no techie and only have minimal requirements.
thanks for the help guys. i'll stick with the 1st gen ipad mini for now and do a bit more research.

Perhaps if you mention what your tablet is we could help. Any recent Android device should be able to do the folders thing though.
