Tesco CC - Change payment date?

Has anyone had any experience of changing their payment date? Do they allow it??
I see from the web-site, you can ring to amend the 'Statement Date' but would this alter the payment date?
The reason being it is currently end of the month...but if this is a weekend, it's the next working day, and i want the DD for Club Lloyds account, so need it to pay out each month, not potentially 1st and 31st of the same month!!
If not, i guess i can set up a Tesco saver DD, but this would save me having to do that.
