So Much For the Club
After running the utility check in the MSE website there was no mention of IRESA Energy supplier, who are actually cheaper than the cheapest deal available on the MSE club.
Do NOT assume you necessarily get a comparison of all deal available.
Looks to me like the Club is yet another marketing ploy, SURPRISE SURPRISE!!

As they are not taking on customers and will not even give a quote then what is the point of them being on any switching site.
I have found their price list and they are dearer than I am currently paying with big 6 suppliers, 7% dearer for gas and 3% for electric.0 -

Hi dealyjo,
We're reliant on suppliers providing us with their rate cards so that we're able to display their tariffs. As soon as we spotted Iresa, we approached it about this. We haven't yet had a response - which is why we currently don't display it.
I hope that helps.

This 'tool' was set up as a result of the recent CMA report into the domestic energy market and it purports to show all available tariffs:

Edit: Iresa was showing a couple of days ago but they have now disappeared. As others suggest, this may be to manage the influx of customers. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

This is awful. It gives you a number for yearly savings compared to your current provider without knowing anything about the tariff you are on - Assume that it assumes standard tariff. Very misleading. Shameful for something from CAB. Apparently I can save £628.74 a year on a tariff which is more expensive than what I am on....0 -

We must be looking at a different website. It works for me like any other comparison site. It asks for dual fuel or separate suppliers and it asks for details of the present supplier/s and the tariff details etc.
Remember, if you are on a fixed tariff with less than 12 months to run, the savings will be based on an annual cost of months left to run on present tariff plus 12 - months to run on supplier's standard variable tariff. MSE CEC shows both the Ofgem mandated methodology and the more reasonable annual cost comparison.
edit:
I have just run a comparison and compared it with MSE CEC and they both give me the same result which is that it would cost me £57 more a year to move to a dual fuel tariff. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
