I used Blinds2go for a waterproof blind as my bath and shower is in front of the window, i ordered free samples of fabric so i could decide on the colour it was made to order I put it up myself its ideal, its been up a year and still looks great cannot fault it

mine is inside the recess and water on the windowsill gets squeegeed off when i clean the shower screen, although it is slanted down slightly so it doesn't puddle

If it's a UPVC window change the glass to satinovo white glass

Most of the bathroom windows we've changed are less than £100 for glass, 2 easy visits by a glazier so you'd get change out of £200

Window dressing in bathrooms looks naff!

    Thanks Penguin and arbrighton.

I've had a look on the site, and it explains everything very well. I've found the pvc blinds that won't rust if they get wet, and have ordered some samples.

I'm still not sure whether it's best in a wet room to have the blind made to fit inside the recess (in which case water may get onto the tiled windowsill), or whether it's better to get a bigger blind that will cover both the window and sill.

What do other people do in their wetrooms/bathrooms?

I used blinds2go for all the blinds in my previous flat. I bought the waterproof / bathroom suitable ones for my bathroom window. I had it fitted in the recess. For some reason the window was right by where you stand to take a shower so the blind got a good soaking on a daily basis. When the flat was sold after 3+ years, the blind still looked like new, no mould etc on it. The water just seemed to roll off and not leave any residue or stains. I'd definitely recommend them!
The water did end up pooling on the windowsill sometimes, but I just used my hand to push it down into the bathtub which literally took a few seconds.

The wetroom is at the front of the house, so even though I'm getting obscure glass, I think I need some type of blind or curtain for use when the lights are on inside.

Thanks everyone. Samples from blinds2go arrived today, so I'll take a look at these.
