Reclaiming packaged account charges from Ulster bank

I'm looking into reclaiming packaged account charges from Ulster Bank. I can't remember when I was sold the packaged account but I've been in dispute with them over charges (which is now all sorted) and a few years ago the stopped the packaged account payments because the person on the phone said it was of no benefit to me.
Is it a case of phoning them and asking for the details or do I have to pay a fee to get this?

Many people have successfully reclaimed packaged account fees from RBS pic (eg many were told they needed to move to NatWest's Adv Gold Acct in order to gain a larger overdraft and many didn't need or use the 'benefits' which the account offered).
Just be aware that if over 6 years you'll almost certainly be time barred from asking for these fees back though.
You can telephone or email; but, hopefully you can find an old statement somewhere. Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.0 -
Is that 6 years from the last time I paid for it or from the beginning?0

There are two time periods that need to be satisfied to allow them to timebar.
6 years from the sale of the product
3 years from being reasonably aware of an issue.
They are allowed to use the change of account from packaged to a non-packaged account as a trigger for the 3 year clock.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
