Getting Married Abroad

My fiancee and myself (and her daughter) are planning on going to Cyprus for 10 days this summer and were thinking about sneakily tying the knot while we were over there. We're probably going to have a proper party over here a few months from now once she's a bit less... pregnant.

Apparently it's simple to get married in Cyprus; we've got our passports, declarations of single status and birth certificates (and rings!) but then what?

All the searches I do lead me to wedding planners asking thousands to sort out what is apparently very simple. We don't want a party over there, just a quick and simple civil ceremony with the minimum of fuss.

Does anyone have any experience of the procedure over there? Any pointers would be appreciated.
