top layer of conservatory roof holes - quick fix?

Hi All
My polycarb conservatory roof suffered hail damage a couple of years ago, its only the top layer so has not suffered any leaks however would like to get this sorted before the bottom layer also gets damaged, it looks like the plastic has gone brittle hence the hail went thru.
Is there a quick fix I can do myself since its only the top layer and theres no leaks? was thinking just to get a thin sheet and attach to the top.
If anyone has done something similar would appreciate some advice
