Tuesday 3rd May. What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are import

Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 The Joy Account: £10 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
Hi May Marvellous-oes,
Thanks for the starter PF.
Quick post today, I have to work a half shift this afternoon.
Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Month Eleven:
* Lunch at home, from whatever's leftover in the fridge.
* Homemade ginger, honey and lemon tea. Trying to drink less caffeine. This certainly helps me cope better at work.
* Checked online banking. Things are going to be tight til Friday, it's the bills end of the month.
* Get Nectar Points when I go for petrol later.
* Courier coming to collect DW's broken mobile phone for, hopefully, a free repair.
* DW has cancelled scheduled trip into town today so that's a saving on petrol.
* Short run this morning before we put the washing on to make a full load with my running kit.
* Do own manicure and pedicure.
How about you folks?

Hi All,
It's a beautiful day here and I am on a countdown until the big 30 later this week - eek!
Been to playgroup, gave the nursery pet back after a weekend with us, just had breaky before the nursery run later.
If anyone is from Leicester, well done for winning the Premier League last night! Amazing! xDMP Started June 20160 -
Morning Frugalistas,
My goodness this week has to count.....on the money saving front, as well as healthy eating, progressing mega job lists & just about everything else! Decent start achieved:
*Laundry done & pegged out in sunshine. PurpleFairy, I wonder if you live not too far away from me, as we always seem to have the same weather! Washer loaded for cheap wash overnight.
*Rubber pork duties. It did roast for 4 yesterday. Divvied up 4 another roast dinner tonight with leftover veggies & filled a container with pork chunks & leftover gravy for the freezer. Little pieces gone into a cob with homegrown salad & mustard for tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Sorted out jamjar cupboard. Stashed some more in the shed for preserving season.
*Entered a competition.
*Sort out all the jobs I could usefully do in town tomorrow when I have the car.
*Keep ringing the fish man or I'm in danger of being missed off this month's delivery & I want to stock up the freezer.
*Paid 3 x 50ps into my sealed pot.
Rest of the day will be spent sorting out the greenhouse. Gave Mum her big consignment of plants yesterday, which has made space for planting up my greenhouse bed. Will also be sowing sweetcorn. 1st scallop squash germinated this morning.
Ok. Must crack on. If there are any signs of me farting around online or anywhere else this week, please feel free to deliver a stern talking-to.

Afternoon all
Thanks for starting us off PF
Well, I was expecting an electrician round early this morning, to fix a 'fused spur switch' (don't ask!) in the kitchen, so I cleaned the kitchen thoroughly last night, got up early and tidied round, pegged washing on line, did loads of other little bits while I was waiting ... and waiting Rang him an hour after the time he said he was coming and apparently he had forgotten  It is so hard to find reliable tradesmen - almost as though they don't want your money! Anyway, he now says he will come early this evening, which isn't very convenient but will be worth it if he actually does! Update, he has now been and has fixed the problem :T Looking forward to putting the dishwasher on shortly, for the first time in a fortnight
Anyway, having made a good start this morning I hoovered round the rest of downstairs, took the dog out, rifled through the boxes of business stock in the loft and garage and sorted out some new bits to take to my sales unit. Nice glassware this week
Then I went to sales unit, sorted that out, took out some stock and put the new bits in and made them look nice, picked up my (underwhelming ) cheque for last month's sales, came back, listed a couple more bits on ebay ....phew!
Also:
HG rhubarb with my porridge and yogurt this morning
Heating on only in bathroom and airing cupboard, dry and sunny so far today, with a cold wind
Bits from fridge for lunch
Business paperwork update done
Sold a gold ring that had belonged to my mother - no sentimental value as she never liked or wore it, and it was just sat in a drawer here, as it was when she owned it. Now someone who likes it and will wear it has it, and I have some extra money
Still to do:
Another dog walk Done
Get washing in shortly as it looks as though it is going to rain Done
Sort out something for dinner - might end up with a takeaway if the electrician is faffing about in the kitchen when it is time to cook  No takeaway resorted to Cooked fresh veg with a couple of frozen whole sea bass that I already had
Nothing spent apart from paying the electrician (£30) for supplying and fitting the new socket thingy
Rejigged freezers, managed to empty one of them (I have a fridge freezer, which has remained on, and a small under counter sized one which is now off. I will defrost it, wipe it out, and it can probably stay off till I have excess HG produce to deal with Why pay to run two when one will do :money:
Anyway, at least I am feeling more motivated this week Hopefully I will continue to get a lot done!0
