Good morning everyone :hello:

It's a beautiful sunny day here this morning. I'm up washed and dressed as it is my weigh in day at Slimming World this morning. I am feeling quietly confident as I have followed the plan pretty much for every meal bar one. We will see in a few hours anyway :).
Good luck Speky for your interview and presentation.
Hester, there is a lot of nonsense being thrown at you and your daughter. What on earth is someone with Bipolar supposed to sound like! Thank you for helping her even if she doesn't want it.
Sending hugs to Judi and polly, hope your families can sort themselves out.

I've pulled some mince out of the freezer to make meatballs for tea. I think I will make some mash and cabbage to go with them along with an onion gravy. I made sweet and sour chicken last night which was very tasty and everyone ate the lot.

Nerves are kicking in now so I will make a cup of tea and sit quietly for a bit. Speaking of nerves, DD16 has her English exam this afternoon and she is starting to worry so I have told her to take something to eat before she goes in so she will actually be able to concentrate. She has done lots of revision so she is as prepared as she is going to get. I'm sure she will do fine and even if she doesn't, she will have more opportunities to retake it in the future.

I hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx

Morning everyone,

Cold but bright and sunny here, looking forward to the weather getting warmer. Sorted out my sandals yesterday, one pair was past redemption but the others I cleaned thoroughly. Even painted my toes after bath last night so that's my summer preparations done :rotfl:

The more I hear how cruel people can be the more it makes me want to hunker down with my few loved ones and friends. People can be so judgemental at times, they don't seem to realise or care how much hurt they cause. Have only been on this thread for a year or so but can say hand on heart have never known anyone to behave even remotely like that, bless you all for being such a lovely, supportive bunch x

So, first day of new working hours today, looking forward to 2pm already:j

Have a good day all, take care folks x

Good luck Speky :D

I want to start riding my bike again but my leg won't let me, lol. I was thinking of getting an exercise bike to get the muscles used to it again but it seems an expensive way of doing it, when hopefully I won't need it for too long. I looked up stationary bike stands so I could prop up my bike instead – they're as expensive as a cheap exercise bike. There must be a DIY way, I'll google in a mo.

I haven't seen any rats for a couple of days, the poison is still being eaten but it's now going down very slowly. Hopefully they'll have all gone by the end of the week.

I was hoping to get the tomato plants into the greenhouses but with the weather being so unpredictable, I'm going to keep them in the house for a bit longer. They've outgrown their pots so I have to repot them, I was hoping to avoid that, I find it such a faff :D I'll set a few aside for Little Mate, he'll be adding them to his veg patch at granny's house.

I'll swish the kitchen in a mo. Would rather shower and get dressed first but I suppose the working people should be allowed first dibs in the bathroom, lol. I'll take Scampi out – after nightmare walks for a few days he was an angel yesterday, hopefully he'll be fine today too. The shopping's coming this morning so I'll have to be back home for 11am. I want the housework done before lunch so will whizz around doing that, I'm determined to have nothing to do this afternoon. I need the afternoon off to recover from the chaos that mr tru creates when he's had more than one day off work :D I'll finish my blanket later, I just need to sew in the ends and add a border.

• Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. especially Judi, Hester and Polly. Specky hope the interview goes well.

Well I expect there will be more than a few sore heads in Leicester this morning, City have won the championship of the Premier Division, Mark Selby won the World Snooker Championship and one of the local schools won a championship.......

We were up early expecting workmen from the council any time between 8 and 12.

Mince out shepherds pie on the menu for tonight for half of it, the rest will be frozen for later.

Brilliant sunny morning, pity I have no laundry to do.....guess OH will be in the garden this morning. I will do a freezer audit and sort out the May menu and shopping list for Thursday.

Library bus comes today, so new books to read.
• Good Morning everyone and what a stonker we have here too, Oh how I've been longing for a day like this to blow away the winter chill and make me feel up to speed. Planning lunch in the garden today as the patio is nicely sheltered so if the wind picks up we'll stay warm and if it gets too warm (long time since we could write that) I'll get the umbrella out and sit under that. Salmon for supper tonight in the foreman grill with a nice salad and bubble and squeak for lunch as I've cooked veg tu use yum!

CAROLBEE The Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway brings back some lovely memories, we were in the Medway Towns when I grew up and summer holidays were in a caravan at Dymchurch and that little train and the Railway Museum at New Romney are such lovely memories, thank you, have a lovely trip.

Hope that all my lovely friends who were sad and distressed yesterday for many reasons have a much nicer day today, hope you ALL have this sunshine which is a mood lifter in its own right and sending each one of you hugs, love and strength to keep on moving upwards away from the problems you have, take care of yourselves everyone, Lyn xxx.

Morning all,

didnt sleep well last night. One of the dogs had a rumbly tummy and had to be let out 3 times in the night so i'm feeling a bit like a zombie this morning. However, ive just fed them and locked the side gate. The house is my castle and the side gate is my fortress. If anyone knocks my door today i am 'OUT'.

Hubby and Youngest have gone to work. I am hoping they stay there.

Went to visit 'Know All' and the 'Letch' last night. 'Know all' isnt as know all as she was and Letch isnt as touchy feely as he was now he's been diagnosed with early onset dementia. I actually gave him a hug as we left.

Lots to do in the house today but as long as i can do the floors the rest can wait.

Hope all goes well today Speky.

Dumpling thinking of your DD16 doing her exams today.

Also thinking of Mr TA having his fortnightly bloods today. I hope all goes well.

Just had a phone call from my eldest Son. My middle Son is supposed to be coming to see me today. I do wish he had come when he was supposed to and when his Dad/brother is here.

Onwards and forwards,

have a great day all.

Morning everyone,

Yesterday was work then straight home to study/practise for my interview tonight at 5.45. I'm excited but nervous about arriving late cause there's a big gig on at the same time or cause I can't find a space to park, or my presentation doesn't work and all these other things that I can't control.

I've been told the presentation is to be 20 mins long. I timed myself last night and managed to get it down to 24 mins. I don't really want to cut out key points but similarly I don't want to be cut off short or sound like I'm rushing it. Not sure how I'll work that one.

Thank you for all the good luck messages. I'll update you all in due course.

Nice bright day which is such a change. I set the alarm as I expected builders around eight. No sign of them so far.

Judi

I hope things go as well as they can today.

Not sure whether to get on and cook breakfast or wait till I know what is happening. At least the recycling bins have been collected which is a start. Washing is on the whirly outside and I need to clear the kitchen and keep an eye out for a parcel for dd.

Hugs to all especially dumpling, TA, hester, candlelight and polly.

Hi everyone,

Pollyanna, everyone else has said what I want to so just add me in.

Good luck Speky, NMLC's son and dumpling's daughter.

Hugs to everyone else who needs one, which seems to be almost everyone at the moment.

I've got a bit of a cold and sore throat so will probably not be up to walking very far, why can't I be ill when the weather is terrible. Maybe I'll suggest to DH that we go up and have a wander round Kirkby Lonsdale.

Have a good day.

Good afternoon chums ,just had the phone call I have been dreading My lovely big brother Davey sadly lost his fight for life half an hour ago in his sleep in hospital in Poitiers, France. He was not in any pain and his eldest son Steven was with him. I am feeling as you can imagine devastated even though we were told at the weekend he had little hope left God rest him.
He had been my oldest friend and ally for well over 70 plus years and I shall miss him dreadfully.A lovely man who hadn't got a bad bone in his body and would help anyone if he could
