Refurbished Tablet

Options
I am thinking about buying a refurbished Surface Pro tablet on Ebay (sold by Argos). What are the implications of doing this?

Say I wanted to sell the tablet in two years (to upgrade), then would I have to specify that it was refurbished or would I simply select: "Used". Assuming that my Tablet worked perfectly then would I be able to sell the tablet for its going second hand rate?

    In 2 years it will be worth about 50p if it still works so nobody will care.

    I think the point they are trying to make is that in two years time technology will have moved on so far that the specs of the tablet will be so low that hardly anyone will want it because a lot of software will not work on it. Therefore its second hand value will be far less than it is now.

    To answer your question, it will be used so you need to list it as used with any problems/damage/issues. The fact you brought it as refurbished will be irrelevant by then.

    It would be used because you've used it, it wouldn't matter at that point that it had been refurbished as any new parts originally would be used by the time you came to selling.

    Refurbished is usually a used item anyway that has been restored to as new (some may just be returns that have been tested, others will have had parts replaced).

    If you wanted to sell it then you would be sold at the second hand rate. Doesn't have to be working perfectly to sell it though (so long as you state any issues). The value would be lower though.

    Refurbished from Argos is a misnomer. It means it's been returned as faulty/damaged/no longer wanted/incomplete/wrong item etc and then packaged up to sell again.......you may get a good one, you may not. But not in any circumstances has it been 'refurbished'.

    I wanted to use topcashback to buy the item.

    Say I clicked on the link (from topcashback) earlier in the day and then restarted my PC. Would it still track?

    Why earlier in the day and restart? Why not just click the link when you actually want to buy?

    Refurbished anything from Ebay is a misnomer.

    Refurbished = cleaned up

    Untested = broken.

    Spares or repairs = not worth mending
