This is brilliant. I had to download the latest version first ( i had the old one ) I have been on it for hours, you an choose your plane the only problem is that I keep crashing...good job Its not real. Not mastered the controls yet, this will definatley keep my son entertained. Thanks

I had to use ctrl + windows button + A to get it to appear

oK....so i can fly and land the light aircraft.
Can someone tell me where i an find the afterburner for the jet.?
I use the page up/page down, but at 35000ft it slows down to the speed of a commercial airliner.Boring.
I want to go
faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast. !!
Ground level seems the only place i can go fast, but surley i should be able to open the throttle at high altitude.

You can add new airports to start from by editing the file

C:\Program Files\Google\Google Earth\res\flightsim\flightsim.ini

% Format: Code name runway lat lon hdg
% Strings in quotes, angles in degrees. Positive latitude = north, positive

... doesn't have to be airports, you can add any location - so you can start right from your local area or any locations you want.
Just add them to the list with their latitude and longitude values.



To find latitude and longitude values.
Use Google maps http://maps.google.co.uk
Find the area you want then right click on exactly where you want to center the map and select 'Center map here'
Then click on the 'Link to this page' link ... you'll find the lat long values somewhere in the text in the pop up box


Eg. for Bath the text is ...
maps.google.co.uk/maps?oe=UTF-8&hl=en&q=&ie=UTF8&ll=51.381638,-2.359314&spn=0.141852,0.31929&z=12&om=1

The lat long values are
51.381638,-2.359314
