Chasing Land Registry

Hi, all.
I'm being bought out of a property, and all seemed to be going well, but now we seem to have got stuck as my co-owner keeps being told the remortgage company are waiting for the Land Registry to remove me from the title deeds before they release funds.
I've had a look on the Land Registry website, but seems there's no way for me to contact them to find out what's happening, and the remortgage conveyancers don't seem all that proactive....
I need the cash from this buyout ASAP as I am about to exchange on a new property - Are there any tricks for making this go quicker? - I really don't want to end up with a bridging loan!
Thanks,
Andrew.

If you're being bought out, surely the LR won't do anything until your solicitor puts in the paperwork to remove you from the property title - and your solicitor wouldn't/shouldn't do that until they have received the funds required to buy you out?
Surely it'd be better to ask your solicitor what's going on and chase them, not try and find ways to chase the LR.0 -
Thanks.
The LR paperwork to remove me isn't being done by my solicitor, it's being undertaken by my co-owner's conveyancers, who will apparently release the funds to me once the LR have taken me off the property title. Is this unusual?0 -
Will Tesco let you have a tin of beans before you give them the money ? In the same way why should your name be removed from the title before they release the funds to you ? They give you the money then put in the paperwork, once the title is transferred what guarantee do you have of getting the money ?0

Thanks.

Usually both things will happen simultaneously. I'm not sure where the "waiting for the Land Registry" story is coming from.0 -
Hi, all.

Keeps being told by whom ?0 -
I had a similar problem where I wanted to take out a mortgage immediately upon buying a property for cash, but couldn't because LR had not yet updated the title on their side.
I called them up and they were very helpful, they said they could make no promises but as the situation was having a financial impact on me, they would try to prioritise. It was done a couple of weeks later. I would definitely recommend calling them and talking to them about your situation, they are usually very good at at least explaining what's going on.0 -
If you need to contact us then you can either use our online enquiry form or ring 0300 006 0411.
If there is an onward sale or linked transaction then we can expedite matters but we really need the applicant (the solicitor involved) to contact us and provide those details and the request - they may know of a reason why it can't be expedited for example so we try to keep such requests being submitted through that established channel as a result.“Official Company Representative

Thanks. I phoned the Land Registry today, and turns out that my co-owner's conveyancers (who I won't name....yet!) haven't even lodged any application to have me removed, so it was clearly just a stalling tactic. Can't say I'm impressed with them thus far.....LR, on the other hand were really helpful.0
