If you are looking to go to Wembley for the cup final. Elstree Ibis is often on that link for £25 per night, per double room for Fri and Sat nights (even allows just a Sat night booking for this week). It is in zone 6 and 15 min train journey from the Elstree station (15 min walk from hotel) to West Hampstead, come out of station and a 2 minute walk (signposted) to the West Hampstead underground station, 10 minute journey on the Jubillee tube line to Wembley Park or if you want to go into London it is for example 10 mins from West Hampsted to Bond Street for Oxford Street or direct train from Elstree.

Thanks Susancs but it's our anniversary so off to the theatre sat night. Only mentioned the cup final as all the "popular" hotels, premier inn/travelodge type places seemed booked up or very expensive, so assumed it was being taken over by football fans going to the final.

Not too fussed about staying over as only a couple of hours away but might try the Ibis link next week to see if I can bag a bargain break. Thanks again for the info.

I hope you get a bargain room and enjoy your anniversary.

Thanks again Susancs, managed to get 2 nights at the Ibis styles Excel for £40 a night, wi-fi and breakfast included, well chuffed. Gets mixed reviews on trip advisor but will only be used as a base.

There was/is plenty of options for this coming weekend, Ibis at Earls Court or Shepherds Bush and a few more for the same money but no breakfast, Heathrow from £25 but just a bit too far out.

Thanks so much for sharing the link :T
