Seems the planning permission line is picking up momentum.

Interesting to see them defend the enforceability of the charges.
An Aldi spokesperson said: 'On this occasion, we have been asked by the local authority to apply for planning permission regarding equipment on our site retrospectively.

'This in no way affects the enforceability of any charges issued prior to the application being made.'

But what about the application for advertising consent for the notices/signs; you can't have retrospective permission for them!

Whether RPP is granted, whether Aldi/PE actually have to refund any monies or not, this cannot be good for their bottom lines. Aldi will lose customers, PE will have to fight off some very awkward people, some of whom may oppose the PP application.

I cannot understand the stupid mentality of Aldi, they think their customers are idiots. I know many who refuse to shop at Aldi because of their bad attitude problem.

It has been said that Aldi take a rake off from Parking Eye.

Surely, planning permission must start if permission is granted in June and not back dated ??

Maybe Wyre Council are in on the act as well ??

How many more PE car parks are in the same position ??

how many other supermarkets have set up their dedicated parking department?

I don,t think aldi will let pe ridicule them by starting court cases in their name

Slap in a FOI request to confirm your suspicions! They'll have to tell you.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
