Dominos

I tried to buy pizzas on line on thursday. The Dominos site crashed just after the Bank Secure entry. We received no order email and rang the local branch to confirm no order had gone through. At that point we made the same order by telephone. I was checking my bank transactions for another item yesterday and noticed that we had been charged twice.
I filled out the Dominos contact form. They tell me that they cannot identify failed orders or money that they have received. Ashley at Dominos customer service tells me that it all goes into a holding account. They make NO effort to refund it, only doing so when the customer complains. In my opinion this is as good as stealing other people's money. Surely they have a transaction ID that can be traced back through the banking system. Everywhere I worked did. Don't they have some responsibility here? How much is in their slush find - sorry, holding account?

Its your bank that has ring fenced the money. If Dominos dont claim the money the hold will drop off and the bank will release it back into your account, usually within 7 days.
By contacting Dominos, they have cancelled the ring fence the bank has on the funds, so it gets released quicker.
Dominos did not have hold of this money.0 -
That's not what dominos told me. And my statement shows that it has been paid to dominos. Interesting what you say though, but I can't try it out now. Never had this issue with anybody else.0
