Recommend a Silent Keyboard and Mouse?

Looking for a silent or quiet wired keyboard and mouse for our office. Tried many mice that all have the annoying loud click and noisy keyboards when typing.

We do a huge amount of typing so looking for a quiet keyboard setup. Also doing audio screencasts so background clicking needs minimising. We also use wrist rest supports so a high pair of risers would be handy too.

Has anyone got or used a keyboard and mouse that are very quiet?

I use a Logitech M705 wireless mouse which is nearly silent and inaudible, can't help with a quiet keyboard though.

don't think there is such a thing?? I've worked in media agencies for a number of years and we just plug our headphones in!

I have seen rubber/neoprene/plastic keyboards, well not strictly keyboards but keymats! Don't know where to purchase them but Auntie Google might help.

Re keyboard, just go to a shop and try. I think most low rise / flat keyboards are less noisy than 'high' ones like, e.g. (noisy)

Or just google 'silent keyboard'.

Be careful if you're using keyboard wrist-rests. They can cause or exacerbate repetitive strain injuries in the hands and forearms.

I have a Microsoft Internet keyboard, which has very quiet keys, although just tapping your finger on plastic makes noise (i.e. the keys don't click, but you can hear the sound of fingers tapping them). It also has an inclined, built-in wrist wrest, so it's the perfect height for the keyboard and is attached, so moves with it, hopefully eliminating the problems of separate wrist-rests.
