Talk talk You View Box

We recently moved to Talk talk Tv after a few years with Sky. We already have a free view SMART TV and have connected our Talktalk You View box to the TV. All channels are tuned through the you view box and we get the additional subscription channels through the same box. We are experiencing poor signal on the you view normal channels, i.e.. pixels, crackling sound etc., the usual poor signal stuff. Anyway I was looking at a signal amplifier to put into the loft but before doing so I took the TV aerial lead out of the you view box and put straight into back of Tv and the poor picture quality gone, perfect picture. So somewhere between the youview box and the tv the reception is being affected. Has anyone come across similar. I can leave aerial plugged into back of Tv but means flicking back and forth between TV and you view box dependant on what I want to watch

Hi
Thanks for reply. No the RF loop through was off. Do I need to run return normal lead from aerial out port on you view box to TV, or does the HDMI cable all I need.0 -

Using both with RF loop through set to on is recommended. This enables your TV to still receive a signal, even with the YouView box in standby. It will also slightly improve your signal strength, which is probably the problem here.
So please post both you signal strength AND quality %.0
