Is there any point to Royal Mail Signed For???

Most of those responses from BG look like automated ones to be honest. It may well be that they've got something set up in their e-mail systems that fires out a standard reply if the attachment isn't exactly what they were expecting. (I've had similar bovine faeces coming back from SouthEastern trains).
Yep - Signed for is a bit hit and miss but useful if you think a recipient might forget or deny receiving something. As was said above - if it is physically delivered but no signature obtained - you can claim a book of stamps back from RM as compensation.I need to think of something new here...0 -
I'd be tempted at this point to email BG, telling them that their email was illegible (truncated?) and request a printed copy of the thing by Special Delivery.0

Come on this is British Gas, they could not find their own backside even if it was pointed out to them.
They are on top of the most hated gas company to deal with. There customer service is next to non-existent.
But to add a point. Some viruses are spread via jpegs, perhaps their system does not allow them to be accessed on a security level. The more I live, the more I learn.
The more I learn, the more I grow.
The more I grow, the more I see.
The more I see, the more I know.
The more I know, the more I see,
How little I know.!!0 -
You will probably get a reply eventually telling you that you need a new boiler and a powerflush.0

Having worked at a Royal Mail sorting depot myself (as a temp when a student) I think it's a miracle that ANY of the post reaches the intended destination ever.
I don't recall ever being asked to treat a signed for letter any differently than any other letter.... which means it could just as easily been one of the hundreds on the floor under the warehouse staffs feet.:o0
