Hi everyone,
Our visitors have left, we had a lovely weekend, even though the weather wasn't the best. I first met K at primary school but we drifted apart after uni and marriages and haven't really been in touch apart from Christmas cards for about 30 years. It seems amazing that we've re-connected and seemingly picked up as if we'd seen each other regularly. It didn't hurt that her DH and mine got on well together. We're going to theirs in July and will be going to see A Midsummer Night's Dream in Stratford.
We'll be going over to visit my Aunt this afternoon and possibly my brother and his wife as well.
Good luck tomorrow Speky. I hope things go ok NMLC.
Have a goodday.0 -
Oh good gracious Judi how much more can you take.
Sending hugs (if that helps)!!

Hugs from me too JUDI. Hope things don't turn out as bad as you fear. ELONA I can't believe a year has passed either. You are one strong lady to have coped the way you have since losing your DH. x
SPEKY good luck for tomorrow! Hope all goes well x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Sorry I have been missing for a while . Like a number of posters today I have been involved in a very upsetting and hurtful family situation .
I finally had to put the phone down on a family member a few days ago as I was being subjected to a tide of verbal abuse out of the blue .
The abuse involved my youngest who is chronically ill and basically called her a scrounger . We are not a family for arguements and I was heartbroken that someone close was thinking that way . I have been upset and have not responded since as I don't feel anything positive will come about by doing so at the moment .
While I would not wish the sad events other thread members are experiencing to have come about it has allowed me to feel safe putting down my hurt , sadness and I suppose anger somewhere as I have not shared with anyone what has taken place .
Big , gentle hugs to Nmlc Judi and all who need one x
Candlelight I hope Himself feels more rested today . The weather is supposed to warm up later in the week and I think it makes such a difference .
Elona I am glad you and the family had a good day and you were able to picture your husband and smile . x
Good luck to your daughter Dumpling , hope you are well .
Speky Good luck tomorrow .
TA I hope Mr is well . Re the spiralizer I picked up the jml one when cutting through wilkos a couple of weeks ago . I checked the reviews on am and realised it was not suitable for arthritic conditions . I ordered a four blade flat bed one which does proper round noodles and as a leftie can be used with either hand . I shall return the other - never opened the packaging - when I am near wilko on Thursday .
Hope Hilstep and LameWolf are ok .
Thank you all for being here x

Polly, I am so sorry, I would have put the phone down as well. What right do people have to pass their opinion without being asked for it. Surely you have enough worry to cope with when your child is so ill, no matter how old they are.
Hugs to you Polly and your daughter, don't let the b**gers get you down

Himself is doing well thank you x0 -
I know the feeling well; I always miss my doggie visitors when they go home. Jessie's being collected tomorrow, then we have to wait til Friday for Dotty's arrival.Hard_Up_Hester wrote: »My doggie lodger is being picked up today, hubby will really miss her he has fallen for her in a big way.
Pollyanna that's the trouble with "invisible" illnesses - unless people can see something tangible like a leg in plaster or something, they think you're just making it up.
Been there, done that, got the t-shirt, mate. x If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

I am so cross on your behalf  as it is not just the comment but that someone who should know better and would be expected to be on your side would do this.
I agree so much with the comment on invisible illnesses, no matter what form they take. I have the tee shirt as well!
Judi
I am crossing my fingers for you. Could you take yourself out for a walk on some pretext?
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

When the world is heavy and hurtful and we feel sad, lonely and weighed down by it all remember that we have each other here, we've all been through sadnesses and hurt and known how it feels so we ALL take a little of the burden from each other and help just make it bearable with our shared companionship and understanding. You are ALL good people, don't deserve to feel so low and worried, we're here for each other and we may not know each other in real life but we're all sending our support and love to those of our friends who are suffering today. Keep your chins up petals, you're not alone and we care about each and every member of this lovely little community, Lyn xxx.0

To Candlelight You made me cry and you made me laugh - a much loved late auntie of mine used to give the same advice often . Thank you x
Lamewolf - I so agree about invisible illnesses . My daughter has a few of those but also has three glaringly obvious physical illness .
How anyone could overlook a wheelchair , crutches ( seldom used now as too painful and sticks for rare good days and the fortnightly gp appointments all the year round defies belief . Add in a virtually non existent social life and the longing to pursue the career she was trained for and I don't understand where this has come from .
Elona Thank you . You , Lamewolf and others on here wear your TShirts with pride . You are strong women :A:A
Dear Lyn As usual you find the words and I thank you for doing so for both myself and others on here .
I am not one to cry easily but I have cried reading replies to my post To be honest I have felt choked up with anger and hurt for days and a good cry has been healing in a way .
In true pollyanna fashion my good things for today are those who post both on the daily and across the os forum . Bless you all xxx
