Grant for a new bed?

Not sure if this is the right place to put this but here goes. A friend of mine is disabled and is on the highest rate component of mobility and medium rate component of care for DLA. He is basically bedbound at the moment but his bed is causing him great pain, now before his wife buys him a new bed I was asked if he could get a grant from the government for a new bed? Ive been looking for information on this for him but cannot come up with a sausage, can anyone help?

Community Care grants: are available if you are on income support and they cover a wide range of personal circumstances and variety of needs and expenses. Savings of over £500 will affect how much you get and the grants do not need to be paid back.
