Best rewards credit card for me

Hi All

Would appreciate any help on this, have not had a credit card for a long time and I want to know what the best reward credit card for me would be.
I remortgage recently and have thousands to spend on a new extension, so I am thinking to getting a credit card, which I will be able pay back every month, but want to make the most of any rewards that I can get, either money back or travel, any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you Ant.

It might take a little research but I know a few credit cards that have rewards offered... Capital One Sparks card, Bank of America, Discover and Chase. These are just a few that I know that offer reward programs.

    Good luck. Hope this helps.

If the OP is in the UK then the above rewards programmes wouldn't apply in this instance but the above could be useful to visitors from the States.
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.

For me at the moment the best "rewards" card is a 0% on purchases card. Do all your normal spending it, pay the minimum each month and put the rest in a high rate current account +/- reg saver. i.e. Nationwide account lets you keep £2500 at 5% plus add £500 a month to a regular saver, and or TSB keeps £2000 at 5% and add £250 per month to a regular saver.

So you get a 5% "reward" which wipes the floor with the current read card
