Forwarding Email from Domain Name/Site

Hi

I've bought my domain name and paid for 12 months hosting with 123-Reg.

I'm in the process of designing a website but I guess this will take me a good few days. In the meantime, I'd like to be able to start using the domain for email. I haven't subscribed to email, I just want to have the mail forwarded.

Can anyone tell me how to do this as I can't see anything on the 123-reg website. I'd like to be able to use the name info@company name.co.uk

Many thanks

I've managed to set up forwarding, so email is actually coming to the info@companyname.co.uk. It is arriving in my Outlook 2013.

I now need to know how i send email in the name of info@companyname.co.uk - grateful for input.

    Many thanks

You just need to change the "from" field in emails.

In Thunderbird, go into Account Settings and change the "email address" field from user123@hotmail.com to info@companyname.co.uk.

You may need to check that your selected SMTP server is okay with you sending mail from your own domain. Sometimes you have to go through additional steps to confirm that you own the address.

Many thanks. I will have a go at setting it up in the morning. Thank you.
