Eligibility checker ?

I used the use eligibility checker and it came back and said we were 100% approved for an MBNA 0% transfer card..

so I clicked through to their site..entered exactly the same details and it said..

" we are unable to match your details to confirm you have been pre approved on a price comparison site..... so you are now subject to a full credit application...."

I dont see how the eligibility checker helps if the site you click through to is completely different.

Am I doing something wrong ?

cheers

The eligibility checker doesn't pre-approve you for a credit card, you'll still need to have a credit check carried out as the checker only did a soft search not a hard search that MBNA will need to carry out before offering you a line of credit.

Well I dont quite understand your answer..the eligibility checker specifically says 100% Pre-approved..you will get this offer and the exact offer shown... if that not pre-approval what is it !

Really? In that case I would check with MBNA as to what's up if it specifically pre-approved you for the card. Do you have a reference to the pre-approval as that'll help.

Edit: Is this on MSE or MBNA? MSE doesn't pre-approve, I can't speak for MBNA.

If you're referring to the eligibility checker on this website, then HD Decisions (or whoever MSE are using these days) searched your file and claimed you were "100% approved", not MBNA.

As such, your anger/concerns should be addressed to MSE/MSM, not MBNA.

Ok. So you were subject to a full credit application. So what happened? Unless you have actually applied and been told no, what is your problem? Give them a chance to decline you first!
