I paid nearly £4k in overdraft charges

Hi
Looking back over old statements I'm still angry at paying First Direct Excess Overdraft Bank charges that total (along with the monthly overdraft charge) just under £4k for June 2001-Jan 2007. As well as charging for the overdraft, roughly £30 a month, the additional Excess charge per month was around £60 - £119. I lodged a claim back in 2011 which along with everyone else's wasn't successful, but still think the excess charges were hugely unreasonable.
Is there anything I can do?

The courts did not agree. The banks won the court case on unfair charges back in 2009. After that point, complaints about unfair bank charges were no longer considered. Is there anything I can do?
No.
Taking the banks money without permission caused these charges. You could have avoided them by not spending money you did not have and not taking the money without the bank agreeing to it.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
