Bottle Trap Waste

Hi
I am windering if there's any advantage to using a bottle trap waste as opposed to the usual plastic bended waste pipe for a sink? I want to the best job I can and am fitting this sink myself. Thanks;)

I changed my waste to a bottle trap as it was neater and made more space under the sink. I don't know of any disadvantages - mine works OK. It's easy to clean if it gets blocked.

IMO bottle traps block more readily than tubular ones . I assume you mean a basin .I would not fit one to a kitchen sink.

i disagree. i always use bottle traps where possible.
make sure they are just hand tight and they come undone really easy for cleaning out.
get the largest ones possible for the kitchen sink. ive got a double set.
dead easy to maintain.

Maybe if you didn't use a bottle trap you wouldn't need to keep taking it apart

Mine is on the kitchen sink. I don't have problems with blockages but then it probably depends what you put down the kitchen sink. Ours does have a strainer/stopper.
